Germany with further support: 200 million for Ukraine reconstruction

The German government is now commenting on further financial support for Ukraine.

According to the report, Germany will provide another 200 million euros for the reconstruction of Ukraine, which was attacked by Russia. Thus, the German Press Agency apparently learned on Saturday that the State Secretary for Development Jochen Flasbarth promised Ukraine the aid during a visit.

Money for reconstruction, education, health

The money is to be used primarily for education, health care and drinking water supplies. Urban reconstruction is also to be co-financed by the money. According to its own figures, the Development Ministry has made a total of around one billion euros available for civilian support since the start of the Russian war of aggression in February.

According to State Secretary for Development Flasbarth, it is important to preserve key economic sectors such as agriculture, because people need prospects and jobs. Flasbarth is the German government’s commissioner for coordinating international reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.
