Including five tanks: Ukraine destroys Russian military equipment

Ukraine says it destroyed Russian military equipment on August 14, including five tanks. This reports The Kyiv Independent referring to a Telegram post by Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.

According to Tarnavskyi, who commands Ukrainian units on the southern front line, a total of 34 Russian military units and nearly 100 soldiers were killed in fighting. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed Russian military equipment, including five tanks and eight armored personnel carriers.

Further, The Kyiv Independent writes that destroying Russian military equipment and undermining supplies is a key strategy of the ongoing Ukrainian counteroffensive. Territorial advances would be slowed by dense minefields and Russian defensive lines, especially in the south.
