According to the Institute for the Study of War, there is footage of Russian forces attacking Ukrainian positions in Zaporizhzhya oblast. These indicate that Ukrainian forces have advanced into an area near Robotyne, which Russia previously claimed for itself.
Further geolocated imagery shows, according to The Kyiv Independentthat Ukrainian forces have also advanced south of Robotyne and north of Verbove. This evidence arguably indicates that Ukrainian forces are advancing along the line of Russian fortifications leading into the settlement, as ISW reported. In addition, Ukrainian military sources reported that friendly forces had successes to report in the Robotyne-Novoprokopivka direction south of Orikhiv and indicated that successful operations had also been conducted south of Bakhmut. Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar stated that the Ukrainian military had made progress near Klishchivka, about five kilometers from Bakhmut in Donetsk oblast, and Novoprokopivka south of Robotyne. In addition, Maliar reported that Ukrainian forces had liberated three square kilometers around Bakhmut.
