According to various Telegram channels, an hour before the power outage, residents reported a loud noise reminiscent of an explosion and a bright flash. There was no water supply in the neighborhood at that time.
Pulkovo Airport, located about 23 kilometers south of the center of St. Petersburg, said that the power supply in the departure hall for domestic flights was interrupted. Emergency lighting was activated in the building.
