Military aid package: Germany supplies more ammunition and vehicles to Ukraine

As part of the latest military aid package, Germany has supplied more ammunition and weapons to Ukraine.

This shared The Kyiv Independent with reference to the German government. All told, 188 Mercedes-Benz Zetros all-terrain trucks, more than the 156 previously delivered, were delivered, as well as four more border guard vehicles and another Beaver bridge-laying tank. Germany has also announced that it will supply an additional 20,000 pairs of protective goggles on top of the 20,600 already delivered to Ukraine. According to the latest data, Germany has now already delivered a total of 44.27 million rounds of ammunition for firearms, 134,592 40-mm ammunition and 86,122 rounds of ammunition for the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.

Ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft guns already delivered

In addition, the German government announced today that it has delivered the first batch of a total of 300,000 loads of ammunition for the Gepard anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine. Two types of ammunition have already been delivered to Ukraine for the Gepard guns: Once 150,000 rounds of armor-piercing sub-caliber ammunition and 150,000 rounds of explosive incendiary ammunition, which is used to engage aerial targets such as aircraft or guided missiles. So far, 46 Gepard anti-aircraft guns have been delivered to Kiev by the German government, with six more to follow. The Gepards are essential for Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor from Russia, especially to defend against the Iranian Shahed-136 drones that attack Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
