Progress in the war? Putin meets with top military officials

To discuss the current situation in the Ukraine war, Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with several high-ranking military officials.

As reported by n-tv.de, citing the news agency Reuters, the meeting included Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Russian Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov, and General Sergei Rudskoi, the head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff. The Kremlin stated that “new models of military equipment were shown to the commander-in-chief.” The report also mentioned, “The head of state listened to reports on the progress of the special military operation.”

Stoltenberg continues to back Ukraine’s advance

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, on the other hand, continues to support the advance of Ukrainian armed forces against Russia. “We must be prepared for the long haul. Wars are by nature unpredictable,” Stoltenberg said in Berlin, according to n-tv.de. “But what we do know is that the events around a negotiating table are inextricably linked to the situation on the battlefield.”
