Severe setback: Ukraine hits Russian boats in Crimea

A spokesperson for the Ukrainian secret service HUR has stated that two Russian speedboats were hit in a Ukrainian attack in occupied Crimea.

This was reported by The Kyiv Independent. There were also numerous reports of explosions near the city of Chornomorske on the Russian-occupied peninsula, according to the Telegram channel Crimean Wind. Eyewitnesses cited by the channel indicated that military barracks were likely hit. However, the Russian Defense Ministry said that two drones were shot down over the peninsula.

Kiev reports several successful attacks on high-value targets

The coastal city of Chornomorske is located on the western edge of the Crimean peninsula, about 120 kilometers northwest of Simferopol. Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, said that Ukraine is making “great progress” in destroying Russian military installations on the island. Last week, Kyiv reported several successful attacks on high-value targets in Crimea, including S-400 air defense systems, the modern Karakurt-class warship Askold, and other military ships.
