Putin uses his “wonder weapon” – but Ukraine forces shoot it down

Ukraine has destroyed six Russian ammunition depots within the last few days. This reports the German news website n-tv.de with reference to Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi. According to the Ukrainian account, the destroyed Russian equipment includes three armored vehicles, two drones, ten artillery systems and mortars for military aircraft.

Further n-tv.de reports with reference to data of the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Russia had fired 65 different missiles as well as 178 combat drones in the last week. These would have included 87 Iranian-made Shahed drones. Further, the Ukrainian leader says that they have also demonstrated the ability to shoot down Russian Kinchal (Dagger) type hypersonic missiles. The Kinchal missiles are treated by the Russian president as a “miracle weapon.” In the process, Zelenskyy also thanked Western allies and their delivery of air defense systems. He said they are of “crucial” importance in protecting Ukraine’s citizens from Russian attacks. “Ukraine can win this battle, and our air shield will later guarantee the security of all of Europe,” Selenskyj said.
