Russia conducts 1000 artillery strikes – but then Ukraine strikes back

The Russian forces operating on the southern front have significantly increased the number of attacks and air strikes. This was reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

However, the Ukrainian troops under the command of General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the Tavria group, were able to prevent Russian successes despite suffering considerable losses. On the southern front, where the Tavria group is deployed, since yesterday, 29 air strikes and nearly 1000 artillery strikes have been conducted by the Russian forces. Tarnavskyi emphasizes that the Ukrainian troops have remained steadfast in the contested city of Avdiivka. The Russian attackers have suffered significant losses, including up to 500 dead, three tanks, several other military vehicles, and three ammunition depots.

These claims have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by independent sources. For this reason, they should be viewed with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for the parties involved to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the enemy.
