The Russian Ambassador to the USA, Anatoly Antonov, has sharply condemned the delivery of ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
According to Tagesschau, Russia has threatened the USA with consequences following the delivery of the long-range ATACMS missiles. “The consequences of this step, which was deliberately kept from the public, will be very serious,” said Antonov, according to several Russian agencies.
Just a day earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the use of the missiles in the fight against the Russian aggressor. “A special thank you goes out to the United States today. Our agreements with President Biden are being implemented,” the Ukrainian President said, according to Tagesschau. He also stated that the missiles had already proven their worth, without specifying the location where they were used. However, the Ukrainian military reported that nine Russian helicopters were destroyed among other damages during nighttime attacks on two airports.
