Russian military helicopter destroyed near Bachmut

According to Ukraine’s own statements, a Russian combat helicopter is shot down in the early morning hours.

According to the announcement of the country’s air force, an enemy Ka-52 helicopter was destroyed in the Bachmut sector. It was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile unit at about 6 a.m., according to the German news platform n-tv.de.

According to official reports, Ukrainian forces are recording progress in recapturing territory near the Russian-controlled city of Bachmut in eastern Ukraine. This was announced by the German news website tagesschau.de. The army managed to recapture about five square kilometers in the surrounding area last week, according to Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maljar. In total, Ukrainian troops have regained control of about 40 square kilometers around Bachmut since the start of their counteroffensive about ten weeks ago.
