Putin loses hundreds of soldiers in a few hours

Ukraine says it has taken out hundreds of Russian soldiers within the last few hours. This reports The Kyiv Independent with reference to the morning update of the General Staff of Ukraine.

On August 17, 2023, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russia had lost 256,050 troops in Ukraine since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24 of the previous year.

This total includes 480 casualties suffered by Russian forces in the last 24 hours alone.

In addition, the report stated that Russia lost 4,329 tanks, 8,398 armored combat vehicles, 7,641 vehicles and fuel tanks, 5,169 artillery systems, 714 multiple rocket launchers, 486 air defense systems, 315 aircraft, 314 helicopters, 4,272 drones and 18 boats.

This information comes from a party to the conflict and has not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they are to be evaluated with reservations.
