Russian pilot surrenders to US embassy

A Russian pilot did not want to fight Ukraine and for this reason turned himself in to a US embassy. This is reported by the former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko.

Via the Network X Herashchenko writes: “A pilot of the Russian Guard, Gavrichenko, with the call sign “Gavr”, was vacationing with his family in the United Arab Emirates. Once there, he turned to the U.S. Embassy and declared that he did not want to fight Ukraine and cooperate with U.S. special services. There are indications that the Russian security services were very worried about this and are now thinking about closing the borders to Russian pilots and officers in general, as well as their families.”

Already a few weeks ago, a Russian pilot had fled after his family was safe. He also called on other Russian soldiers to desert.
