According to its own statements, Ukraine has pushed back a Russian tank column in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
To substantiate the statement, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense posted an alleged evidence video. It shows a column of tanks driving in a line when explosions start and plumes of smoke rise into the sky. Some of the tanks, presumed to be Russian, appear to be hit. According to Ukrainian sources, the video comes from the 31st Mechanized Brigade. It was posted on October 29, 2023.
These claims have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by independent sources. Therefore, they should be treated with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for parties to the conflict to deliberately spread false information in order to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the adversary.
