Ukrainian intelligence: Russia supplies captured weapons to Hamas

Ukrainian intelligence (HUR) claims that Russia is transferring captured Ukrainian and Western weapons to the militant Islamist group Hamas.

This was reported by the Munich Mercury. On pro-Russian channels, including on Telegram, it is claimed that the terrorist organization Hamas used Western weapons in the attack on Israel. According to the reports, these weapons were acquired on the black market; however, there is yet no verifiable evidence for these claims. The HUR has also spoken out, calling the accusations “a campaign to discredit Ukraine”.

Moscow’s Accusation: Ukraine Reselling European Weapons

Furthermore, the HUR asserts that Russia has passed on weapons of both American and European origin, captured in Ukraine, to Hamas fighters. According to the intelligence service, Moscow plans to spread a narrative that Kiev regularly sells Western weapons covertly, including to the terrorists of the Hamas group. This accusation that Ukraine has been reselling weapons since the beginning of the war has been frequently propagated by the Russian side. A spokesperson for the US Department of Defense stated in December that there would be no reliable information on this.
