Zelensky: Counteroffensive reports successes – “Tactic is working”

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed optimism about the successes of the Ukrainian army concerning the launched counteroffensive.

Zelensky stated that he is optimistic about the progress of the offensive aimed at driving the Russian forces out of their country. According to n-tv.de, the Ukrainian president said on Telegram: “Especially in the Black Sea region and around Crimea, it’s clear to see how our tactic is working.” The Ukrainian leader substantiated this with several points. Firstly, he mentioned that the Russian military fleet in the western part of the Black Sea is no longer operational and is gradually fleeing from Crimea. Furthermore, the “Russian terrorists” in the occupied parts of the Black Sea and Azov coast no longer have a secure base or a completely reliable logistics route.

Additionally, the pro-Russian sentiment on the annexed Crimean Peninsula is becoming more openly evident, even though the Russians still control large parts of the island. Moreover, Zelensky pointed out that Ukraine has managed to ensure grain deliveries via the Black Sea route.
