Another attack on the Crimean bridge? Russia destroys three unmanned boats

Early this morning, the Russian Defense Ministry says Russia destroyed three unmanned boats.

The boats apparently tried to attack the Crimean bridge by means of naval drone attacks. The Russian Defense Ministry accuses Ukraine of the attack. A first attack reportedly occurred late Friday night. Two others allegedly followed early Saturday morning Moscow time.

Bridge with enormous importance

The bridge connects the peninsula with the Russian mainland and was completed in 2018. It has already been attacked several times during the ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine. It is enormously important for the supply of the annexed island as well as the Russian troops in the south of Ukraine.

Ukraine, on the other hand, has not confirmed responsibility for the attack.

The information is not independently verifiable at this time.
