“Armored fist” failed: Russian troops lose all equipment

The channel DeepState, which has close ties to the Ukrainian military, reports the loss of 63 armored vehicles by Russia at the northern edge of their advance from Avdiivka, as reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

This finding is based on the analysis of satellite imagery. Almost all of the equipment, according to reports, was lost by Russian troops near Krasnohorivka. It is estimated that the loss of life in this region could be in the hundreds. DeepState believes that despite their overall superiority, Russian troops lost the battle.

At the same time, DeepState expresses an “unpleasant” assessment: the attack is “further evidence of the ineffectiveness of the Armored Fist tactic.” This tactic aims to leverage battlefield superiority through the concentration of armored vehicles. DeepState states that both Ukraine and Russia have seen numerous columns using this tactic not succeed. This is attributed by DeepState to the increasing effectiveness of aerial reconnaissance and artillery.
