Attack on Crimea: Ukraine attacks with “Neptune

According to their own statements, the Russian military repelled a missile attack on Crimea. This was reported by the German news platform n-tv.de.

The Ministry of Defense announced that a Ukrainian anti-ship missile of the “Neptune” type was detected and intercepted by the air defense off the coast of the peninsula. At the same time, damage to a residential building in the port city of Sevastopol was reported, caused by falling debris from a drone. Sevastopol, a base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, has been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian military attacks in recent weeks.

These statements come from one party involved in the conflict and have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by an independent source. For this reason, they should be considered with reservation. In war, it can be advantageous for parties involved in the conflict to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
