Meter-high flames: Insurgent group “Skrepach” attacks Russian military camp

In the Russian city of Rostov, one of the largest cities in the European part of Russia, there has been an attack by an insurgent group. This is reported by Jason Jay Smart, a correspondent for the Kyiv Post, via the network X, formerly known as Twitter.

Smart writes: “Rostov is on fire. A Russian military facility in the Russian city of Rostov is currently ablaze. A Russian insurgent group, ‘Skrepach,’ has claimed responsibility for the attack.” Smart does not provide further details about the potential extent of the damage or possible casualties or injuries. He posted this information on the microblogging platform on Monday evening.

These reports have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. Therefore, they should be treated with caution. In times of war, it can be advantageous for interest groups to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
