Moscow prepares nuclear weapons test in the Arctic

According to a report in the media, Russia could be making preparations for a nuclear test in the Arctic as the German news platform n-tv.de reports.

The New York Times, citing flight data and satellite imagery from a Russian base in the Arctic, has reported that Russia may be preparing or may have already conducted a nuclear test. The movement profiles of the aircraft and vehicles appear to overlap with those of the 2017 and 2018 test runs, it was reported. The “Burevestnik” missile being tested is described as a cruise missile capable of traveling thousands of kilometers. However, according to the “NYT”, none of the 13 tests conducted since 2017 have been successful.
