Military intelligence: Russia trained Hamas terrorists

Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Ukrainian military intelligence (DIU), is convinced that Hamas’s use of drones in the terrorist attack on Israel is a clear indication of Russia’s involvement.

In an interview with the newspaper Ukrainska Pravda, Budanov explained that the changed and advanced strategy of Hamas, using drones on armored vehicles, can be attributed to Russian training. “No one other than the people who have experience with it in our war could have done that. Since it wasn’t us, it must have been the Russians,” the intelligence chief said, according to the German news website n-tv.de.

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they should be treated with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for warring parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
