Once again, the Russian Defense Ministry reports that it has repelled another drone attack in the Bryansk region during the night. Two drones were destroyed by air defenses over the southwestern area near the border with Ukraine, it said. This reports the German news website tagesschau.de with reference to a corresponding Telegram post by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Russian Defense Ministry in Moscow accused Ukraine of perpetrating the attack. It says it foiled another attempt by Kiev “to carry out a terrorist attack using aircraft-like drones against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation.” No damage or casualties are known. The media project NEXTA posts a video, according to which a drone was shot down near Moscow. On the attached video, a sound of flight can be heard, followed by a loud explosion and a bright flash of light.

In war, it can be advantageous for parties to make false statements about the course of the conflict in order to strengthen their own position or weaken the position of the opponent.
